Information You Submit
Search forms send the name, telephone number, or address you enter to the third-party provider that supplies the results. Our servers do not retain a copy of those searches. When you contact us, we receive the information you choose to send and use it solely to answer your message.
Information Collected Automatically
Our hosting systems create ordinary server logs that may include an IP address, browser type, visited pages, and timestamps. We review combined data to maintain the site and see which resources visitors use. Cookies or similar tools may support basic analytics and advertising measurement where applicable.
How We Use the Data
The limited data described above helps us run the site, resolve faults, assess traffic, and improve content. We neither sell visitor lists nor create individual visitor profiles.
Other Websites and Tools
Links lead to Maryland and Baltimore County portals, records offices, library resources, and third-party search tools. Information submitted on another site is controlled by that site's privacy policy, not ours. That includes information entered for sponsored search results supplied by an outside company.
Who May Receive Data
Providers that host or maintain the site process logs for us. Analytics and advertising partners may receive the automatic information noted above. We may disclose data in response to valid legal process, but otherwise do not share visitor data.
Protecting Your Information
An encrypted connection serves the site. Server logs are kept only as long as needed for the stated uses. Because visitors do not create accounts, we hold no site password or account profile for you.
Visitors Under 18
The site is meant for adults and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from a person under 18. Contact us if you believe a minor submitted such information so we can delete it.
Your Maryland Privacy Rights
The Maryland Online Data Privacy Act (MODPA), effective October 1, 2025, gives qualifying Maryland residents rights to access, correct, delete, and obtain a copy of covered personal data, plus rights to opt out of its sale, targeted advertising, and certain profiling. Because we retain little data, we can check our contact mailbox and available server logs for a request. Use the Contact page to reach us. MODPA excludes publicly available information from its definition of personal data, so it does not erase a deed, docket, assessment, or other lawful public record. Arbutus records held by Baltimore County or Maryland remain outside our control, and correction, shielding, or removal requests must go to the proper custodian.
